I lead technology and product organizations, and I think in systems. That’s the constant. The applications shift with the moment.

I’m Chief Technology and Product Officer at Enpal, Europe’s leading residential PV business with €1B+ in revenue, where I lead a 300-person engineering and product organization through growth during challenging market conditions. Previously, I was Global VP of Engineering at HelloFresh, and CTO and Managing Director within the Amadeus Group, where I held full P&L responsibility, served as interim CEO, and delivered the company’s first profitable year.

I’ve operated across startups, scale-ups, and listed enterprises; across B2B and B2C; across software, platform, and physical-product businesses.

I work in distributed systems and cloud architecture. I’ve built globally distributed processing systems with strong consistency guarantees, run platforms handling 100k requests per second, and operated a PaaS that woke me 20 times in a single week. Fluent in five programming languages, comfortable in many more. I grew Berlin’s Software Craftsmanship meetup to 2500 members, organized conferences, and spoke at many. As an executive, I stay hands-on.

Across every system I’ve worked on, the question I keep coming back to is what it does for the people around it: their growth, their motivation, their lived experience.

I write about what I’m working through: AI in engineering organizations, the craft of leadership, navigating ambiguity, personal growth.
